Affiliate Chapters

The Arc Wisconsin, established in 1960, includes 12 local chapters in communities across the state, serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families.  The Arc Wisconsin promotes and protects the rights of people with I/DD and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community.  Our local chapters provide services that fit the needs of their unique communities around the state.

The Arc Greater Columbia County – Portage
The Arc Greater Columbia County, established in 1966, offers residential services through Family Care and IRIS, including independent living options, and recreational and social activities for adults with disabilities.

  The Arc Dane County – Madison
The Arc Dane County was created by a group of parents more nearly 70 years ago. Today The Arc Dane County offers educational programming and supports to individuals with I/DD and their families including a variety of social events.

The Arc of Dodge County – Beaver Dam
The Arc of Dodge County shares information and resources, facilitates programs, recreational and social opportunities for people with I/DD in the broader community. The chapter engages nearly 200 volunteers in 6000 hours of service and serves more than 220 families and individuals annually.

  The Arc Eau Claire – Eau Claire
The Arc Eau Claire has served the Chippewa Valley region since 1957. The Chapter focuses on providing guardianship services, care coordination and advocacy/ resource referral services, operates twice-a-year day camps for people with I/DD and a variety of social, recreational and educational activities.

The Arc Fond du Lac – Fon du Lac
The Arc Fond du Lac, established in 1963, supports people with I/DD to become independent and integrated into the community. Services offered through Family Care, IRIS and other programs include adult and youth community enrichment activities, multi-faceted day activities, respite services, residential services, transportation, professional training and year-round Special Olympics.

  The Arc Green County – Monroe
Started in 1950s The Arc-Green County has been a leader in improving the local community for people with I/DD. The chapter provides funds to support inclusive swimming instruction, to meet needs of area schools, to support Special Olympics athletes and to help individuals attend summer camp.

The Arc La Crosse and Monroe County – La Crosse & Sparta
The Arc La Crosse, established in 1954, facilitates education initiatives, transportation, day services, and training supports for individuals to establish community employment. The Chapter advocacy program assists people with appeals when services are decreased. Members of The Arc in Monroe County coordinate community recreational opportunities and use funds to help individuals attend camps and to improve special education.

The Arc of Racine County, established in 1954, advocates for the rights of children and adults with I/DD. The Chapter offers special education advocacy and is a key resource for information, assistance, and referral services to children and adults with I/DD and their families.

  Richland County Arc – Richland Center
The Richland County Arc was started in the 1950s and focuses on raising awareness about I/DD and engaging in public policy advocacy to improve local schools, transportation and housing for people with I/DD in their rural communities. The chapter coordinates community social events and promote self-advocacy.

The Arc of Southwestern Wisconsin, Inc. – Grant, Lafayette, and Iowa Counties – Mineral Point
The Arc of Southwestern Wisconsin was organized in 1966 by parents in Iowa County; in 1999 three area counties combined to form The Arc of Southwestern Wisconsin. The chapter focuses on advocating for the rights of and supporting people with I/DD, leads young adult activities and hosts a biennial banquet honoring those who have improved the lives of people with I/DD.
