The Legislature’s Joint Finance Committee votes on funding for the Department of Health Services (DHS) budget on Tuesday, June 4. The DHS budget includes funding for all Medicaid programs that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families rely on, including Family Care, IRIS and the Children’s Long-Term Support program.
The proposed budget bill also included various initiatives to address the direct care workforce crisis, end the children’s waiting list and increase access to dental care. The Arc Wisconsin has shared its final recommendations with legislators. Read our recommendations here.
