People with disabilities and their families are gearing up to advocate for things they want funded and changed in the next state budget. The Governor unveiled his budget in an address February 28. Read The Arc Wisconsin’s reaction to the budget here.
The Arc Wisconsin hosted a March 7 webinar along with the Wisconsin Board for People with Developmental Disabilities (BPDD) and Disability Rights Wisconsin to provide a detailed overview of what’s included and what’s missing for people with disabilities in the budget across key areas like education, long-term supports, transportation, employment, direct care workforce, mental health (and more) .
