The Arc Wisconsin was one of several statewide disability organizations that worked with the City of Madison to update their policies to pay fair wages to workers with disabilities. The Madison City Council voted to end the use of sub-minimum wage for all city workers with disabilities at its February 28 meeting, ending a practice that was progressive for the city when it began in the 1980s.
